Gaya: Bihar continues to sizzle under the scorching heat with the maximum temperature hovering around 43 and 44 degree celsius in various districts of the state.

Gaya was the hottest place of the state where temperature was recorded 44 degree celsius yesterday.


The temperature of state capital Patna was 43 degree. According to MeT department, hot weather would continue for next 48 hours.


In view of the intense heat, the Patna administration has issued instruction to schools to conduct classes upto 5th standard till 11 am.


Meanwhile, Odisha and West Bengal are also battling severe heatwave which has already claimed several lives.
