Patna: In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl was killed by a group of three motorcycle-borne men in Bihar’s Kaimur district.

Hindustan Times quoted police as saying that the men dragged the girl by her scarf before driving their vehicle over her.


However, the police are yet to arrest anyone. The incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday near Karjaon village on Hata-Durgawati main road.


As per the report, the Class 10 student from Fakarabad village was going to write her half-yearly examination.


Three other classmates were with her when the incident occurred.


The media house quoted sources as saying that as one of the three men on the bike caught hold her ‘dupatta’ (scarf) which got entangled around her neck.


This made the girl lose her balance and she fell on the road.


The motorcyclists dragged her for around 50 metres before returning to drive their bike over her, according to the HT report.


The girl died on the spot.


The bikers reportedly lost balance and fell into a ditch and so abandoned the motorcycle and fled.


On hearing the cries of other three girls, the villagers rushed to the spot.


They blocked the main road with the girl’s body demanding the arrest of the killers.


The motorbike was registered in the name of Brijesh Gupta, the police said.


An FIR has been lodged by the girl's father against one Krishna Kumar Gond of Karjaon village and two of his unknown associates.
