New Delhi: The AAP on Wednesday announced its candidates, which includes two girls, for the high-pitched Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections that will be held on September 11.
Hitanshi Chauhan from Satyavati College, Garima Rana and Rahul Raj Aryan of Hindu College and Kuldeep Bidhuri of Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (PGDAV) College will contest the DUSU polls on behalf of the Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS) -- AAP's student wing.
The CYSS, however, is yet to reveal which candidate will run for the top post.
After capturing power in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party is now looking to control the Delhi University's student body, which is currently dominated by Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
To garner support, CYSS has been trying to connect with students through various measures like helping students during the admission process. Yesterday, they also organised a music concert to canvass student's support.
