New Delhi: The MBBS undergraduates of AIIMS will be holding a medical exhibition for schools across Delhi to raise funds for the education of some orphans.
Equipment from various departments, microscopic specimens and specimens of the human organs both pathiogolical and anatomical will be showcased during the two day exhibition at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium in AIIMS beginning tomorrow. Students from various schools like DPS R K Puramn, DPS Vasant Kunj, DPS Rohini, Modern school, Springdales, Air Force Bal Bharati School and different branches of Kendriya Vidyalayas would be visiting the exhibition by paying a nominal fee of Rs 150, said the programme co-ordinator Vishnu Koneru.
The teachers and principals of the schools accompanying the students will be given free entry into the exhibition. The MBBS undergraduates will also hold a seminar to guide students on how to prepare for admission to AIIMS.
"We are doing the exhibition to raise funds for our organisation `Parivartan`. It is an under graduate initiative towards social service for sponsoring the education of some orphans," said Koneru.
The Director of AIIMS will be inaugurating the exhibition tomorrow.
The `Parivartan` NGO was formed by MBBS undergraduates of AIIMS in January this as a social service wing of the AIIMS students Union.
