New Delhi: The Delhi Police is on alert to avert any terror attack following intelligence inputs issued to states, Police Commissioner BS Bassi said on Thursday.

Bassi said he did not want to go into the details. 

"Officers have been briefed up and steps are being taken to enhance security," Bassi told reporters here. 

He cautioned people against being swayed by rumours. 

The Home Ministry on Tuesday issued an alert to states, including Delhi, in the run up to the visit of US President Barack Obama and the January 26, 2015 Republic Day celebrations.
