A day after the video of an apparent drunk cop travelling in a metro train went viral, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Monday said that he has been identified and placed under suspension.
New Delhi: A day after the video of an apparent drunk cop travelling in a metro train went viral, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Monday said that he has been identified and placed under suspension.
“The cop has been identified and we have initiated action against him,” Bassi was quoted by ANI.
Delhi Police Commissioner issued a strict warning and added, “It is unacceptable if any police officer is found drunk in uniform, even during off duty hours. This is one of its kind incident.”

The video of the cop travelling in Delhi Metro was uploaded by Verite News on YouTube, which soon went viral.
In the video, the apparently drunk cop was seen falling on the floor and being helped by passengers.
