"Kejriwal has awakened very late in this case, he didn't take any action against Bharti earlier, now to control the damage, he wants Bharti to surrender and face the law," Shukla told ANI here.

"After the high court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Bharti, Kejriwal has realised the embarrassment," she added.

Shukla also said that if Kejriwal would have acted tough on Bharti when the Khirki Extension case took place the situation today would have been different.

Asked on her expectations from the Supreme Court where Bharti's bail plea is to be heard today, Shukla mentioned that she firmly believes in judicial process adding that Bharti won't get any respite from the apex court as well.

Bharti has moved Supreme Court seeking protection from arrest in a domestic violence case after the Delhi high court rejected his anticipatory bail plea.

The Delhi Police had registered a case against Bharti after he was accused of domestic violence and mental torture by his wife Lipika Mitra.

The case was registered against Bharti under Sections 307, 323 and 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Lipika has been married to Bharti since 2010, but has been living separately from him since 2012 along with the couple's two children in a rented accommodation in Dwarka.
