Heavy rains cause waterlogging, traffic snarls in Delhi
Heavy rains on Wednesday morning caused waterlogging in many areas and massive traffic gridlocks in Delhi.

The traffic moving from Moti Nagar to Inderlok has been diverted towards Punjabi Bagh. The route from Inderlok to Tri Nagar has also been diverted.
Obstruction in traffic in the carriageway from IIT towards Adhchini due to breakdown of a car at Kalu Sarai bus stand.

Waterlogging near Leela Palace Hotel, Janakpuri District Center, Chatta Rail, under RTR flyover, AIIMS Loop, under South Extension flyover.
Roads inundated on Panchsheel Marg from Sardar Patel Marg to Shanti Path, Azadpur underpass, Jahangirpuri metro station.. Traffic is moving slow from Brar Square to Mayapuri (both carriageways) due to water on roads.
The other areas where traffic is moving slow due to waterlogging are: Ring Road Dhaula Kuan, Bhairon Road towards Mathura Road, Roundabout Teen Murti, IGNOU Road, IP Flyover towards Sarai Kale Khan, Barapullah flyover towards DND, Ashram Chowk. Ring Road Maharani Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Raja Garden towards Mayapuri,Gymkhana towards Teen Murti Marg.
Due to heavy downpour, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, W Point, Loha Mandi to Mayapuri, Gol Dak Khana, Kali Bari Marg, Chirag Delhi to Nehru Place flyover, Alipur Village, Okhla Underpass, Jasola Red Light,Saket MB Road, Saket Metro Station, Lado Sarai T-Point. PTS Red Light, are witnessing traffic snarls, as the respective routes have been flooded with rain water.
The other areas which have been affected are Modi Mill Flyover, Sadik Nagar, BRT to Moolchand, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, Nehru Place to Zamrudpur, Press Enclave Road, Filmistan, Delhi Cloth Mill, Azad Market railway underpass, Zakhira flyover, Shantivan Chowk, Hanuman Setu, Subhash Marg, Chandni Chowk, Brar Square to Mayapuri, South Avenue.
People going to office are facing a harrowing time as the vehicles on the roads are crawling due to the heavy rains.
Delhi Police advises people:
1. If the water is deep enough to submerge your vehicle's exhaust pipe, then try to avoid the road.
2. Road dividers, trees, pavements, poles, etc. help in judging the depth of waterlogging.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State John Kerry, who got a taste of heavy traffic jam on Monday, cancelled his today's planned visit to religious sites due to heavy rain.
Noida, which is said to have better infrastructure than Delhi, was also not spared. The heavy downpour which is started around at 7:30 am choked the city. School going children and office-goers are facing an uphill task to reach their destination.
The National Highway 24 passing through Indirapuram is also witnesssing huge traffic jam.
The Indirapuram streets are drowned in the rain water. People have taken to social media platform to tweet pictures opf the flooded lanes.
Heavy rains in Guragon
Traffic was moving slowly in Haryana's millennium city Gurugram following heavy showers.

“Heavy rains in Gurgaon, please be advised. Be patient and maintain lane discipline, we are on the job to facilitate your movements. Visibility is poor due to heavy rains,” Gurgaon Police tweeted.
