CCTV footage of 32-year-old killed by Mercedes on Delhi road released - Watch
The video shows that Sidharth Sharma ran to save his life, but was hit by speeding Mercedes-Benz car.
New Delhi: A gut-wrenching CCTV footage has surfaced showing a 33-year-old business consultant being killed after a speeding car, being allegedly driven by a teen, hit him while he was crossing the road here.
The victim, Sidharth Sharma, was the marketing head of a private enterprise, and also pursuing professional degree from an institute here affiliated to Stratford University in US.
The incident at Sham Nath Marg in north Delhi's Civil Lines area took place at around 8.55 pm on Monday when Sharma's friend dropped him near an eatery. While he was about to cross the intersection near Ludlow Castle School there, a speeding Mercedes hit him.
The video shows that Sharma ran to save his life, but was hit and flung several feet into the air and landed at least 15 metres away. Due to the impact of the accident, a tyre of the car burst and it stopped after a sharp drift on the road.

All occupants of the car fled the scene abandoning the vehicle there.
The car was allegedly driven by the son of car's owner, Manoj Agarawal.
