New Delhi: It's news to no one that air pollution is harmful for health and pollution levels in the national capital have been under regular monitoring lately.


Toxins and particulate matter have converted the air into a choking hazard for Delhi residents, making the authorities take strict measures to reduce the pollution levels in Delhi.


 


Ever since Diwali in November, pollution levels seem to have worsened over time and have been under the scanner constantly.


According to the Real-time Air Quality Index Visual Map, the highest pollution levels as of 7:00 am have been recorded in and around the New Delhi US Embassy area at 250, with RK Puram coming in at a close second at 246.


 


Meanwhile, Punjabi Bagh has recorded air quality at 216 at 6:00 am and Mandir Marg is at 213 as of 7:00 am.
