Khan Academy to launch Hindi platform in India on December 3
The Khan Academy, which has revolutionised the way school children in the United States of America and then many other countries is all set to enter India.
New Delhi: The Khan Academy, which has revolutionised the way school children in the United States of America and then many other countries is all set to enter India.
The academy is entering India by launching its free online offerings in Hindi. Later on it is expected to start its services in other languages.
The Khan Academy will launched its operations in India on December 03 with the help of Central Square Foundation (CSF).
Khan academy founded by Salman Khan in 2008, is a non-profit that provides free online materials and resources to support personalised education for learners of all ages.
Salman Khan born to a Bangladeshi father and a Bengali mother is a MIT graduate.
He started the academy after tutoring his young cousin in maths.
The Academy platform contains practice exercises, instructional videos, dashboard analytics and teacher tools.
While 70 percent of the students are from the United States, the rest hail from countries like India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and beyond.
Khan Academy covers subjects from basic Math to Physics, Biology, Economics, Art History, Computer Science, Health and Medicine and more.
