New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Saturday released the official notification regarding Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) examination 2016.

The written examination is held for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) comprising Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).


Candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. This is to be noted that mere issue of e-Admission Certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission.


Verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents is taken up only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test.


How to apply for UPSC CAPF exam 2016?


Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in


Last date for submission of applications for UPSC CAPF exam 2016


Candidates can fill the online application up to 08 April, 2016 till 11.59 pm, after which the link will be disabled.


The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. Candidates can download the Certificate from www.upsc.gov.in.


The exam is scheduled to be held on June 26, 2016. The written examination will comprise two papers. Paper I will be held from 10 am to 12 noon and Paper II will be held from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.


The last date to submit the application form is April 8. The tentative number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is as follows:


(i) BSF 28


(ii) CRPF 97


(iii) ITBP 87


(iv) SSB 58


Total 270


Allotment of Centres of examination will be on the “first-apply-first allot” basis, and once the capacity of a particular Centre is attained, the same will be frozen.
