Ahmedabad: Security agencies have issued red alert across Gujarat after intelligence input about the possible infiltration of terrorists in the state.

According to reports, the National Security Adviser Ajit Doval had informed the Gujarat government that around 10 terrorists may have entered the state from across the border to carry out strikes.


Security arrangements at all important places have been beefed up in Gujarat after intelligence report on infiltration of terrorists. Director General of police PC Thakur convened an emergency meeting with all the district police chiefs on the issue and alerts were sounded off in all major cities in the state.


In wake of terror report, a high-level meeting of top cops and senior government officials was also held at the secretariat to review the situation.


The terror input comes after three abandoned boats were found on the shores in the Kutch district, with the BSF patrolling team finding the third boat late on Friday.
