The march was supposed to begin Sunday morning from Dandi in Navsari to Sabarmati in Ahmedabad.

The move came after Gujarat CM Anandiben agreed to meet him on Monday.

“Gujarat CM has called us for a meeting, if nothing fruitful comes out then will protest again,” Hardik said, as per ANI.

He is the convener of Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) who are demanding reservations under OBC quota.

Earlier, the Gujarat government had once again denied permission to Hardik Patel's reverse Dandi march scheduled for Sunday.

The government had refused to grant its nod to PAAS plan to take out the reverse Dandi march last Sunday (September 6) too.

Hardik had earlier said that said this time they would go ahead with the "massive" rally at any cost, as per PTI.

"The march will begin with 78 people and later in the day around 50,000 people will join it," Hardik had said before cancelling it.

The Dandi March led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1930 was an important part of the Independence movement.
