Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested Qazi Abdul Raheem Geelani, brother of Prof Abdul Rehman Geelani who was arrested by the Delhi Police for his alleged involvement in the December 13 terrorist attack on Parliament House in New Delhi.
A report from Baramulla said that Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir police raided the residence of Qazi Raheem around 2130 hours on Tuesday night and arrested him.

His family members said that he was taken to an unknown place by the SOG personnel. ``We have arrested a number of suspected persons, who are now being questioned but main conspirator Tariq is still at large,`` Inspector General of Police K Rajinder Kumar said.
Tariq was the prime link between Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Gazi Baba and the terrorists involved in planning and executing the Parliament House attack. He had arranged meetings between Gazi, Afzal and others involved in the attack.

Mr Kumar said that state police and other security forces besides intelligence agencies had mobilised all their resources to nab Tariq. ‘`We have been raiding suspected hideouts of Tariq for but so far no success has been achieved, `` he said.
State police arrested Afzal and two others following a tip-off that they had transported weapons and ammunition used for the attack from Srinagar in a fruit truck last month.

Afzal told Jammu and Kashmir police that an ultra who was killed in the December 13 attack was Mohammad alias Baba, one of the four hijackers of Indian Airlines flight IC 814.
