Ranchi: At least 46 dengue patients have been admitted to the Ranchi-based Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIIMS), a senior doctor said here today.
"Five new cases were admitted yesterday, taking the total number of dengue patients to 46 (so far). The condition of all of them is stable," Dr Vivek Kashyap, the Chairman of a special committee set up to control dengue, told PTI.
The first test conducted on all the patients proved positive while some of the cases tested positive in the second test also, he said.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi said many of the dengue patients returned to different districts in the state from other states recently.
