Security has been beefed up around all vital installations in Haryana following Thursday’s terrorist strike on parliament house, a top police official has said.
The border with Delhi and other states have been sealed and the police put on high alert across Haryana, police chief M S Malik said on Friday night.
All vehicles passing through the state were being put through intensive checking, he said, adding that additional companies have been made available for deployment. Inspector General of Police Rohtak Range Resha Singh told reporters that barriers had been erected on all roads leading to Delhi and police in the districts adjoining the national capital had been put on high alert.
