Chandigarh: At least 10 people have died due to swine flu in Haryana this year while four have died in neighbouring Punjab, health officials said here Thursday.

“65 positive cases of swine flu have been reported and ten casualties have been reported so far,” Haryana’s Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Ram Niwas said.


He said that all efforts were being made to monitor the spread of the disease and the patients were being treated in the isolation wards of various hospitals.


Punjab Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jayani said that 17 confirmed cases of swine flu have been reported in the state and four people have died due to the disease.
