Have you ever felt so tired after work that you just want to jump in bed and go off to sleep?


Early morning shifts, long working hours at office can stress you out and eventually take a toll on your health.


Your energy gets drained and fatigue gets the best of you.


But are you sure you're not doing anything else at work that results in your energy becoming lower than the temperature at the North pole?


That got you thinking, didn't it? This doesn't refer to any physical activity but your habitual activity at work.


Yes, it’s not only the long working hours that drain all your energy, but a number of workplace habits could be accountable for taking a toll on your health.


The worst thing is that we don’t even realize that we are doing them in the first place.


So, to make you aware of what you're probably doing wrong, we list a few work habits that are common among everyone and which you do absent-mindedly.


1. Skipping breakfast:



Okay, so this is one thing that you have to ensure before your leave for work or after your reach your office. You may be able to easily breeze through the morning with just a cup of tea or juice but research has shown that eating breakfast not only kick starts your metabolism but also increases your energy.


2. Drinking water:



It's been repeatedly told by experts and we all are aware of the importance of drinking plenty of water throughout day, but, it's quite possible that you're not consuming enough water. Sipping on water during the day not only reduces headaches but it also hikes your energy. Moreover, drinking a good amount of water water is good for skin and also increases brainpower.


3. Face in hand syndrome:



This is probably everyone's habit while working. Supporting your face in the cup of your palm by leaning your arm on the desk. The comfort factor is understandable, but by doing this, you're compromising on the hygiene. Touching your face so often may interfere with hygiene and skin. It may spread bacteria causing breakouts or other skin conditions.


4. Hunching over:



Playing the posture games, are we? Your posture during work has a lot to tell you if your energy gets drained easily and if you suffer from confidence issues. A sore back and weak core are just two of the many side-effects. Keep your back straight, push your shoulders back and try engaging your abs. It will make you feel lighter and more capable instantly.


5. Crossing the legs:



Caught you! Well, you may want to re-think that stance again as crossing your legs can give you pain in the neck and back. The posture is also known to raise blood pressure.
