Hillary Clinton camp demands FBI give details on email inquiry
On Friday, Comey said new emails that `appear to be pertinent` to the investigation would be reviewed -- a bombshell reveal with less than two weeks to go before Election Day.
Columbia: Hillary Clinton`s presidential campaign angrily demanded Friday that the head of the FBI clarify his statement about again looking into her use of a private email server while secretary of state.
Campaign chairman John Podesta said FBI director James Comey "should immediately provide the American public more information" after a letter to lawmakers announced the bureau would review newly discovered emails.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation had recommended in July not to prosecute Clinton for sending unsecured emails with classified material through the server, though it found her to have been "extremely careless."
But on Friday, Comey said new emails that "appear to be pertinent" to the investigation would be reviewed -- a bombshell reveal with less than two weeks to go before Election Day.
"It is extraordinary that we would see something like this just 11 days out from a presidential election," Podesta said in a statement.
"The director owes it to the American people to immediately provide the full details of what he is now examining. We are confident this will not produce any conclusions different from the one the FBI reached in July."
