Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks open higher after sell-off
Hong Kong stocks climbed more than one percent in the first few minutes of trade Friday.
Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks climbed more than one percent in the first few minutes of trade Friday after suffering heavy losses in the previous session but traders remain on edge ahead of next week`s vote on Britain`s EU future.
The Hang Seng Index added 1.03 percent, or 205.81 points, to 20,244.23.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was slightly higher, edging up 0.19 points to 2,873.01, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China`s second exchange, rose 0.24 percent, or 4.56 points, to 1,890.00.
