The agitators raised slogans demanding justice for the victim and carried posters reading 'give justice to foreigners' and 'say no to violence'.

Earlier, at least three Bengaluru policemen were suspended and nine people were arrested over the mob attack on Tanzanian woman who was allegedly beaten and stripped on road.

The Tanzanian envoy, who earlier called it a "racist attack", is in the city along with senior foreign ministry officials to take stock of the situation.

"This should not happen in the 21st century. It's not a once in a while event, they come several times in a year," he said yesterday.
