A high court bench said that Triple Talaq violated human rights. Also, the court ruled that personal law of any community cannot be above the constitution.

The ruling of Allahabad High Court was welcomed by various people from different walks of life but there were some politicians who didn't welcome the court's ruling.

Kamal Faruqui of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB)

"Islam is one of the most progressive religions about women's rights. Talaq is a part of Sharia law, no interference should be there," Kamal Faruqui said on Allahabad HC's ruling.

"Constitution gives me right to follow my religion; it's an observation by court, not decision,"  Kamal Faruqui added.

Muslim cleric Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali

"Respect the Allahabad High Court's verdict but we've constitutional right to appeal against the verdict if not satisfied."

"AIMPLB's legal committee will study the verdict and observation and then it’ll file its appeal against the said verdict," Mahali added.

"I don’t think it’s unconstitutional; if few people misuse law, you take action against them and not remove the law," says Mahali on Allahabad HC's verdict.

However, social activist Zakiya Soman has welcomed the Allahabad High Court's ruling.

"I welcome the verdict of Allahabad HC; it's true that triple talaq is not constitutional," said Zakiya Soman.

"It must be abolished," Zakiya Soman added.
