Army flags off national integration tour for Ladakh students
A National Integration Tour (NIT) was today flagged off by the Army from Leh to Chandigarh and Amritsar in North India under `Operation Sadbhavana`.
Jammu: A National Integration Tour (NIT) was today flagged off by the Army from Leh to Chandigarh and Amritsar in North India under 'Operation Sadbhavana'.
The educational-cum-motivational tour comprising 15 students of Nari Niketan and Bal Ashram was flagged off by GOC 'Fire & Fury Corps' from Leh to Chandigarh and Amritsar, a Defence spokesman said.
The tour is planned by service aircraft from Leh to Chandigarh and back, he said, adding, students will get an opportunity to see the well-planned capital city of Chandigarh and visit Sukna Lake, Rock Garden and Elante Mall, he said.
Students will also visit Jallianwala Bagh and Golden Temple in Amritsar and witness the traditional Retreat Drill at Wagah Border, the spokesman added.
