New Delhi: Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi, who joined the BJP not before 2015, was appointed as Puducherry Lieutenant Governor on Sunday and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was one among those who wished her luck on getting this post.

Within minutes after the news broke, Kejriwal took to Twitter and wrote, “My best wishes to Kiran Didi for this new role.”



Bedi had unsuccessfully contested the 2015 Delhi Assembly election as BJP's chief ministerial candidate against Kejriwal.


She had lost from the constituency which was considered a stronghold of the BJP.
