Bhopal: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya mocked at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for playing politics over the alleged suicide former soldier Ram Kishan Grewal.
Taking a dig at the Gandhi scion, Vijayvargiya said, Rahul Gandhi's activities are like as if he is the hero of comedy circus.
Vijayvargiya opined Grewal's alleged suicide was a matter of probe as the ex-serviceman was already getting benefits of OROP.
The BJP leader's statement comes after former soldier Ram Kishan Grewal, who committed suicide demanding OROP's implementation, was cremated in his village here on Thursday in the presence of hundreds of people including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The BJP has accused Rahul of enacting a "political drama" over the suicide by the ex-armyman.
Rahul, who travelled by road, spent a few minutes with the grieving family members of Grewal. He had to jostle with the crowd to reach the family members of Grewal as slogans of "Ram Kishan amar rahe" rented the air.
Other Congress leaders including former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar, Leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Kiran Chaudhary, Selja and Kuldip Bishnoi werea also present.

Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Randeep Singh Surjewala and TMC's Derek O Brien also reached the village.
