A case was registered at North Avenue police station after the threat letter was received.

While confirming receiving a threat letter, the BJP leader said, "I've received a threatening letter which had derogatory content against my party and my statements."

Hussain further said the letter has been handed over to the police and an FIR has been registered.

"I'm not going to be scared of such threats," the BJP leader said.

Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, the National Investigating Agency (NIA) on Friday held a number of terror suspects from across the country.

The NIA is on its toes to ensure foolproof security during the event.
