Acting on a complaint, Delhi Police on Saturday night arrested a man for carrying cattle meat in a car. 


On Saturday night, police had received a PCR call alerting them that a Maruti van was carrying cattle meat from north Delhi towards Okhla, a TOI report said.


Taking swift action, police spotted the vehicle near north Delhi’s Kotwali area and tried to stop it but accused didn’t stop the van.


After 8-km chase, police finally managed to nab one of the two accused after the van rammed into divider on Outer Ring Road near Golden Jubilee Park.


Reportedly, when  policemen asked the accused to come out of the car, the duo started throwing stones and tried to run away. 


The policemen at the spot then opened fire at the duo, injuring one on the thigh. One managed to flee while other has been arrested.
