Rampur: In a shocking revelation, a girl, who was kidnapped from her village, has told police that she was sold during an auction by her boyfriend for Rs 70,000.
According to a TOI report, UP's Sambhal Police has recovered the girl, a Class 9 student who was kidnapped from her village.
According to the investigating officer Mahesh Prasad, the three accused from Badaun had kidnapped the girl and kept her in a village for four days before they auctioned her for Rs 70,000.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of a former village pradhan and recovered the girl from there.
An FIR has been registered and the case has been transferred to Rampur district.
However, the accused are still out of police net.
