New Delhi: Congress senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is likely to be replaced as the leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, a News18 report stated.

On Sunday, Azad and Kamal Nath were appointed as general secretaries in-charge of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, a move seen as precursor to a major organisational shake-up in the party ahead of the assembly polls in the two states next year.


Azad, 67, has been a Gandhi family loyalist and a former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
