Hazaribagh: In a major development, curfew was clamped in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district on Sunday night after communal violence over Ram Navami processions snowballed into a major row.

How it all began?


The violence began when a Ram Navami procession was stopped and the loudspeaker used was objected other community members. 


It led to clashes between two groups in which several people including policemen were injured.


Vehicles, shops set on fire


Over a dozen shops and several vehicles were set ablaze by the mobs.


One killed


Earlier on Sunday, one person participating in the procession was killed. 


According to police, the situation is now control. 


Meanwhile, curfew imposed in Bokaro was lifted on Monday. In Bokaro, curfew was imposed on April 15 following violence between two communities.
