According to the report, Mumbai Crime Branch DCP Mohan Dahikar and his team left for Bangkok on Monday to bring back Jhingada.

Jhingada was behind bars in Bangkok for his involvement in shooting at gangster Chhota Rajan in 2001. Rajan got injured, but his close aide Rohit Verma died.

Earlier, Pakistan foiled several attempts made by the Indian authorities to bring back Dawood's close aide.

If the Mumbai Crime Branch is able to bring back Jhingada it would be a huge boost for the Mumbai Police and Narendra Modi government, which has vowed to destroy D-Company and bring back 1993 Mumbai serial blasts mastermind Dawood Ibrahim.
