`Delhi HC vindicated our stand that anti-national activity did take place in JNU`
Reacting to the Delhi High Court`s decision of granting a six-month interim bail to Jawaharla Nehru University Students` Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar, public prosecutor Anil Soni on Wednesday said, the court had vindicated their stand that anti-national activity did take in the campus.
New Delhi: Reacting to the Delhi High Court's decision of granting a six-month interim bail to Jawaharla Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar, public prosecutor Anil Soni on Wednesday said, the court had vindicated their stand that anti-national activity did take in the campus.
Speaking to mediapersons outside the court premises, the public prosecutor said, that the HC had put a stamp on Delhi Police's investigation.
When asked whether they would challenge Delhi HC's order in the Supreme Court, Soni said they would discuss the matter and then take a decision.
Court has granted six months interim bail to Kanhaiya, asking him to cooperate in the probe.
Kanhaiya Kumar, arrested in a sedition case, was today granted interim conditional bail for six months by the Delhi High Court, which said he will "not participate actively or passively in any activity which may be termed as anti-national".
The HC also enjoined on him, as president of JNU students union, that he "will make all efforts within his power to control anti-national activities in the campus."
