While launching a scathing attack on the Congress and Dijgvijay Singh, Kishwar tweeted: “Whether INC behind 26/11 attack or not, prominent leaders like Diggy are likely to be on payroll of ISI.”

The comments are likely to evoke a sharp reaction from both Singh and his party.

Kishwar's statement comes after a video surfaced showing the Congress general secretary hailing Naik as the one who spreads peace in the world.

Digvijay Singh had shared a stage with Naik in 2012.

The controversial Islamic preacher has been hogging the headlines, after it was revealed that one of the five young militants, who slaughtered 20 innocent people at the Holey Artisan Bakery in the Bangladesh capital Dhaka, used to follow the Mumbai-based preacher.

Terrorist Rohan Imtiaz, son of an Awami League leader, propagated on Facebook last year quoting Naik “urging all Muslims to be terrorists”, the Daily Star reported.
