The accident took place near Saudi Aramco Residential Compound yesterday when the driver of their car lost control and hit a tree on the roadside.

The condition of 12th grade students mostly from International Indian School Jeddah, who sustained head and other bodily injuries, is critical, Saudi Gazette reported.

While the two students Muzammil Ahmed and Huzaifa Mahmoud Al-Bari are from Lucknow, Usama Muhammad and Lloyd Cheruvathur Samson are from Gujarat and Kerala respectively. Ajaz Muhammad is from Hyderabad.

The students, who were travelling in a Corolla car owned by Muzammil's father, were admitted to Al Jedaani Hospital and Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah.

"We have donated blood as directed by the hospital authorities and are staying within reach of the two hospitals in order to provide any emergency support," said the school Principal Syed Masood Ahmed.

The accident happened a few minutes after the students left school after appearing for the economics paper, he added.
