Lucknow: Former President APJ Abdul Kalam on Monday met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and discussed nine pathways for making the state an economically developed state.

"Discussed with CM and would be happy to work further on these development ideas along with my team," the former President said in his tweet which was retweeted by the chief minister on his Twitter account.


"Happy to know some initiative such as cyclng way and water ATM being pursued. I and my team presented further ideas based on our experiences," he added.


Last month, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had invited Kalam to give his presentation related to development of the state and had written a letter to him in this regard.


The nine pathways for development of the state include quality drinking water mission, preparing next generation of village leaders, UP energy mission using biomass or solar, skill development mission for youths, district development plan, sustainable development- waste to wealth, social entrepreneurship mission, safety and security of people and mobile inclusive governance.
