Gurdaspur: Amidst growing tension between India and Pakistan along LoC, a Pakistani boat has been seized by BSF on Tuesday.

The BSF personnel seized the Pakistani boat in Punjab's Gurdaspur.


The abandoned Pakistani boat was seized from Tota Guru post (Dera Baba Nanak post) on Ravi river.


A high alert has been sounded and search operations are underway.


Earlier, on Monday, India's Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) had issued warning to many states including Gujarat and Maharashtra about suspicious movement of two boats coming from Pakistan's Karachi to India.


Also, a Pakistan boat was seized off Gujarat coast on Sunday. Nine sailors were detained by the authorities. Indian Coast Guard ship 'Samudra Pavak' had apprehended this Pakistani boat off Gujarat coast.


The apprehended Pakistani boat was taken to Porbandar for further investigation.


Noteworthy, security has been heightened in India after Indian Army conducted surgical strikes in Pakistan's territory to destroy terror camps.
