In yet another heinous incident, a 25-year-old dancer was allegedly gangraped at gunpoint by four managers in a hotel.


The four manager-rank employees of a renowned ayurvedic drug company gangraped her in a hotel room after an office party in Banthara, 20 km from Lucknow, early Sunday morning, according to a report in TOI.


What really happened?


The dancer, who runs an event management company in Lucknow, hired her for a party for the company's executives which was organised at the hotel. 


One of the accused Satyavir Singh had approached her through a common acquaintance Ashfaq and hired her for the party.


Two other women members of the dance troupe were also hired.


After the performance at the hotel's banquet hall, around 1:30 AM, one of the co-performers told the dancer that the four accused, who were heavily drunk, had tried to molest the dancers. 


All dancers were about to leave when Ashfaq told the survivor that Satyavir wanted to talk to her about the payment. 


As soon as she entered Satyavir's room at the hotel, one of the accused closed the door and at gunpoint all four raped her, according to the details mentioned in the FIR.


FIR lodged; accused arrested


After the heinous incident, the rape survivor went to Banthara police station and lodged the FIR. 


All the four accused, Satyavir Singh, Devraj Singh, Rashtriya Bhushan Bharti, and Paresh Tomar are in their 30s and are residents of Lucknow.


They have been arrested.


The manager of the hotel, Saurabh Sachchar, was also arrested.
