How to tackle rising Dal prices? Baba Ramdev has a solution
While the country is grappling to deal with the sky-rocketing pulses price, yoga guru Baba Ramdev has come forward with an unique idea to deal with the situation.
Faridabad: While the country is grappling with the sky-rocketing pulses price, yoga guru Baba Ramdev has come up with a unique idea to deal with the situation.
While addressing a yoga event in Haryana's Faridabad district, Baba Ramdev shared a piece of advice with his disciples. He reportedly said that at a time when the prices of pulses are surging up, plenty of water should be added while cooking dal.
The yoga guru further said that every time prices surge, it is not justified to put Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the dock.
According to the yoga guru, if dal is cooked by adding more water, it helps in reducing weight and keeps one healthy. Baba Ramdev's suggestion comes when pulses continue to soar to touch up to Rs 200 per kg.
Urad dal was selling at as high as Rs 196 per kg, while chana was also seen moving closer to Rs 100 per kg level. Tur dal continued to rule high at Rs 166 per kg, while moong and masur were being sold at Rs 125 and Rs 105 per kg, respectively, as per the latest government data.
Production of pulses is estimated to have declined to 17.06 million tonnes in 2015-16 crop year (July-June) due to two consecutive years of drought.
