Imran Khan sure Dawood Ibrahim is not in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa; but what about rest of Pakistan?
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ( PTI) Chairman Imran Khan called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.
New Delhi: Putting the onus on Pakistani government to find the whereabouts of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Friday that any information about the former should be sought from the Nawaz government and not from him.
The PTI chief, however, made it clear that Dawood is not in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa region.
“I am not in government so I don't know where Dawood is, I can assure you he is not in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa where our party rules,” said Imran Khan, as per ANI.
Speaking on Indo-Pak relations, the former Pak cricketer said, “There is also consensus in Pakistan that relations with India should improve and talks are the way forward.”
Indicating towards fringe elements, the Member of Pakistan's parliament added that he has informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Indo-Pak talks are important because during a procedure of dialogue, acceptability of terrorist agenda gets overshadowed.
“I told PM Modi today also that during talks there will be attempts by some to sabotage it but we should remain determined,” Imran told reporters here.
He further said, “Leaders of both countries should have big visions, only then big changes will occur.”

Rejecting Army rule in Pakistan, the PTI chief said, “There is a consensus in Pakistan right now that military rule is not an option.”
“We cant see any clash between the two,” Imran said when asked if Raheel Sharif and Nawaz Sharif are not on same page.
The PTI Chairman, who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today, said that he has told the latter that attempts would be made to disrupt the talks between India and Pakistan, and urged the leadership of both the countries to be wary of it.
He also said that his perception about Prime Minister Modi had changed over a period of time.
"Initially I was disappointed with PM Modi but now my perception has changed about Modi," he said.
Further asserting that Pakistan has been victim of terrorism, Khan said that the Kashmir issue was the key in India-Pakistan relations.
"Resolve Kashmir issue for lasting peace as it is a sticking issue," he said.
Khan is on a two-day visit to India during which he will attend a conference on India- Pakistan relations.
External affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup said Modi and Khan welcomed the recent thawing in relations between India and Pakistan and expressed the hope that these would lead to cooperative ties between the two countries.
During External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to Pakistan earlier this week for the Heart of Asia Conference on peace and stability in Afghanistan, the New Delhi and Islamabad decided to start a comprehensive bilateral dialogue covering the entire gamut of issues.
