Now, JNU students union's joint secretary Saurabh Sharma has claimed that during the February 9 event on Afzal Guru, Kanhaiya Kumar raised the slogan - 'bandook ki nok pe lenge azadi' (we will take freedom with guns).


Also, Saurabh claimed that a pro-Afzal Guru protester had also taken out a pistol too, according to a report in TOI.


JNU students union's president Kanhaiya Kumar, arrested on sedition charges, is out on interim bail for 6 months. 


He was arrested on February 12 in a case of alleged sedition over a controversial JNU event to commemorate Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's death anniversary.
