Delhi: The Tihar Jail​ authorities are in a fix over deteriorating health conditions of mafia don Chhota Rajan or Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje, as per a media report.

A report in Mail Today said that the medical facilities available in jail is was not really useful for him.


The jail authorities have now reportedly moved an application before a Delhi court to seek permission to get the don treated in one of the well-equipped hospitals of the national capital.


The application was moved on March 15 before Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Kumar, the report said.


The jail authorities have said in the application that Rajan is in urgent need of dialysis.


They have also said, as per the report, that inhouse medical facilities were not enough to handle the gangster's health.


At the same time, Rajan too wants to be treated in a better hospital.


It is said that he is suffering from diabetes, heart problems and kidney failure.


Meanwhile, the matter has fixed for hearing on March 30.


Rajan was arrested in Bali and sent to Tihar Jail on November 19, last year.


He is facing trial in over 70 cases of murder, extortion and drug smuggling in Delhi and Mumbai.
