New Delhi: Nearly two lakh students who had appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination​ (JEE) (Advanced) examination for entry into the coveted IITs will be able to take a siege of relief as JEE (Advanced) exam results 2016 are scheduled to be declared on Sunday, i.e June 12.

Here's how students can check their results:


  • Go to the official website of JEE (Advanced)
  • Click on the link for ‘JEE Advanced Results’ to go to the log-in page
  • Enter details as required and submit
  • Result will appear on the screen

Students who cleared the JEE-Mains, the first phase of the two-phase IIT-Joint Entrance Examinations, were eligible to sit for the JEE-Advanced examination conducted by IIT Guwahati on May 22. 


Those who clear the second and final phase of the exam will be offered a place in one of the premier technology institutes in the country.


The JEE-Advanced 2016 was conducted in two parts — while Paper 1 was conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and Paper 2 was conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.


Paper 1 and 2 both comprised of 54 questions each — 18 from each subject — and were worth 186 marks. Each subject carried 124 marks, and the total marks the exam was 372.


Nearly 12 lakh candidates had taken this exam of which 19,820 have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) Online while 1,78,408 candidates have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) offline test.
