New Delhi: In yet another controversy related to JNU row, Delhi Police officials on Tuesday detained three men who allegedly threatened JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar.
Reportedly, the JNU students' union president was threatened during Mandi House protest.
Kanhaiya Kumar on Tuesday had joined JNU students in their march to Parliament demanding release of Umar Khalid, Anirban Bhattacharya and SAR Geelani who are jail in a sedition case.
The 'azaadi' protest march, held on Tuesday, also demanded resignation of Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani.
Earlier, on Monday, a high-level committee of JNU has recommended rustication of Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, Anirban Bhattacharya and two other students for their alleged role in a controversial event last month at which anti-national slogans were allegedly raised.
