Madhya Pradesh Assembly bypoll result: BJP`s Narayan Tripathi snatches Maihar seat from Congress

Satna: The BJP on Tuesday won Maihar seat of Madhya Pradesh as the Assembly bypoll result was declared on Tuesday.

In BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Narayan Tripathi snatched the Maihar constituency from the Congress by over 27,000 votes. 

Notably, Narayan Tripathi had won the seat for the Congress earlier. He quit the house after joining the BJP.

The bypoll was necessitated after Narayan Tripathi, the then Congress MLA from Maihar, resigned from his post and party after joining BJP.

Maihar Assembly seat falls under Madhya Pradesh's Satna district.
