Recently, the issue of Ram Mandir has been making news.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has repeatedly asserted its firmness to build the Ram temple. Earlier this month, two trucks of stones were unloaded at Ram Sewak Puram and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of Ram Janam Bhumi Nyas, performed ‘Shila Pujan’ of the stones.

Earlier this month, VHP leader Praveen Togadia expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would ensure a grand Ram Mandir is built in Ayodhya as decided by the BJP national executive and promised in the Lok Sabha elections.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has time and again pitched for the construction of a Ram temple at Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.

Meanwhile, clarifying the Bharatiya Janata Party`s (BJP) stance on the issue of Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya, Union Minister Mahesh Sharma on Tuesday said his party and government had already given their opinion on the issue that people of the country want the temple to be constructed as soon as possible.
