Miss Universe contest `biased? India`s Urvashi Rautela claims so

New Delhi: A day after India's Urvashi Rautela failed to win the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, the Uttarakhand native on Tuesday claimed that the competition was biased.
Urvashi, who was born in Kotdwar in Uttarakhand, could not make it to the final 15 in the competition, which saw Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines being crowned as Miss Universe 2015 after some stage drama.
Albeit Rautela said she did not regret losing the title, yet she asked why was she not in Top 15 despite leading in a number of preliminary rounds (swimwear, evening gown and interview).
She told Dainik Jagran that there was a lot of diplomatic pressure on the judges to announce Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as the winner as the next venue of the contest is the Philippines.
Urvashi also alleged that Miss Colombia knew that her name would be mistakenly mixed up with the winners' name.
While announcing the results, Wurtzbach was announced as the first runner-up and Miss Colombia Ariadna Guiterrez was named as the winner.
It could have been two Miss Universe titles in a row for Colombia but soon after Guiterrez took her first walk as the winner, the host admitted to have made a mistake in announcing the winners.
