New Delhi: Months after being released from juvenile home due to good conduct, a 17-year-old has been again held for murdering an elderly woman in Delhi.
The juvenile was sent to correction home after he was guilty of kidnapping and murdering a 13-year-old boy in September last year. Two months after the youth was released due to his good conduct.
According to police, the accused strangled 65-year-old Mithlesh Jain to death at her residence in south Delhi and fled with cash, jewellery and two mobile phones.
The accused was arrested from his residence in Faridabad, near Delhi, when he switched on the stolen mobile phone.
In September last year, the youth had abducted and killed 13-year-old Swapnesh Gupta in Ranikhet, Uttarakhand. He allegedly plan the abduction in collusion with his girlfriend to participate in a dance reality show from the ransom money.
With two murders in last six months in his crime-list, the youth is now likely to be tried under the adult law.
