Mumbai: Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari’s daughter Ketki will tie the nuptial knot with Aditya Kaskhedikar, a Facebook employee based in San Francisco, on Sunday in Nagpur.

The traditional Maharashtrian style marriage ceremony will be attended by a number of political bigwigs.


BJP chief Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister for Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar, Shiv Sena chief Udhav Thackeray and Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines Piyush Goel are expected to attended the traditional ceremony on Sunday.


Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, his counterparts from Chhattisgarh – Raman Singh, Madhya Pradesh - Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray too are expected to attend Ketki’s marriage.


According to a few reports, Gadkari will host two receptions – one in Nagpur and the other in Delhi on December 6 and 8 respectively.


Sources said Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao and Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit have expressed their inability to be present at the event, but said they would attend the reception to be held on December 8 in New Delhi.


President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union Ministers besides members of opposition parties are expected to attend the reception in the capital.


The reception in Nagpur will reportedly be attended by Maharashtra MLAs and other ministers from the state.
