In reaction to the recently happened violence at Patiala House Court over JNU issue, Nitish told ANI, “Jungle Raj... Jungle Raj bolte hain, jo Patiala House Court mein hua vo Mangal Raj tha? Dilli mein kendra sarkar ki zimmedari hai (They keep saying Jungle Raj...Jungle Raj. Would you call Patiala House Court incident Mangal Raj? Central government is accountable for Delhi.”

Ever since JD(U) and RJD lodged alliance for Bihar polls, BJP has maintained that Jungle Raj will be back in the state.

During the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's regime, law and order situation in Bihar was said to have got worsened. Many then had termed his rule as 'Jungle Raj'.

In November 2015, JD(U)-RJD's grand alliance had won majority in Bihar Assembly which later formed the government.
